Home Staging Really Works
Staging a home has two purposes. First you want to set the stage to produce the best photos. Small items might look great when you walk into a home but in 3 inch photos they can make a home look small and cluttered. In those instances we remove the items, take the photos and return them. Also, too much or large furniture can make a room appear smaller. You want people to imagine your home is large and spacious. Also, we want buyers to focus on the great features in your house not the furnishings. The second reason we stage a home is to try to trigger an emotional connection to a feature. Maybe it is a cozy fireplace, an outdoor living area, a basement finish or a master bathroom. The challenge is determining how and what to highlight. It really doesn’t matter what a buyer loves about your house, you just want them to love something.
