Dr. Waldo dreamed of a great place to live

Waldo Kansas City MO

Originally purchased as private land by Dr. David Waldo in 1841 and later annexed by Kansas City in 1909, the neighborhood now known as Waldo is a colorful and eclectic part of south Kansas City. Waldo features a vibrant restaurant and bar district, with some of Kansas City’s most unique dining and drinking establishments. Locally owned businesses thrive along the Wornall corridor, and ample greenspaces abound across the local landscape. Located directly south of the Brookside neighborhood, it extends from Gregory south to 91st Street. It is bordered by State Line Road on the west and Troost Avenue on the east.
